8th International Livestock Biotechnology Symposium held by LBC and ISAAA

The Livestock Biotechnology Center, in partnership with ISAAA Inc., conducted the 8th International Livestock Biotechnology Symposium on February 13, 2025.
With the theme Demand-driven BIOTECH Innovations Towards a Resilient and Sustainable Animal Industry, the event brought together leading experts, researchers, and stakeholders from around the world to discuss biotechnological innovations focused on scientifically sound and market-responsive solutions. By aligning advancements with the needs of consumers, producers, and policymakers, the symposium aimed to support a more resilient and sustainable animal industry.
The discussions covered emerging biotech solutions for livestock and poultry production, the global regulatory landscape for animal biotech products, and the status and regulation of animal biotechnology in the Philippines. ISAAA Executive Director Dr. Rhodora Romero-Aldemita and LBC Chief Dr. Marvin Villanueva served as moderators for the sessions.
