The Inilusan Festival in Mambusao, Capiz, recently highlighted the role of farmers in the community as part of its major activities. The event, held in honor of St. Catherine of Alexandria, the patron saint of Mambusao, incorporated the celebration of Farmers’ Day and the key role of the agriculture sector in nation building. CropLife was among the partners of the event.
The term “Inilusan” was coined from a practice of mutual sharing of food among the community. Among the events of the Farmers’ Day celebration include lectures and presentations on the proper usage of agricultural chemicals and farm inputs, and presentation from various agro-chem companies.
