ISAAA Inc. concludes successful webinar on gene editing in crops and animals

ISAAA Inc. together with the Philippine Agriculture and Fisheries Biotechnology Program of the Department of Agriculture DA Biotech Programme Office, organized a webinar entitled “Advancing Frontiers of Biotechnology: Exploring Gene Editing in Crops and Animals” last August 22, 2024. This webinar series provided updates the latest gene editing biotechnology developments in crops and animals.
The speakers gave an overview of the gene-editing technique and its application in crops, gene-editing application and regulations in animals. This webinar series on New and Emerging Technologies in Agri-biotechnology is part of a series of webinars focusing on both the global and Philippine context. Featured speakers were Dr. Maribel M. Zaporteza from the University of the Philippines Los Baños and Dr. Rhoda Mae Simora from the University of the Philippines Visayas.
